Even Flowers Don’t Bloom All Year
There is a quiet softening of the mood as we move into autumn. As the vibrant warmth of summer fades, we find ourselves leaning into mist-heavy mornings and early evening, rose skies. It is a season that naturally invites a sensual melancholy—a beautiful, tender longing that draws us inward.
As the days grow shorter and the colours of the season deepen, we find ourselves drawn to slower days, softer moments and the comfort of familiar rituals. It is a time for reflection, for nurturing ourselves and for finding beauty in the little things that might otherwise pass us by.
Perhaps this is autumn’s gentle reminder that there is beauty in allowing ourselves a season of rest and renewal, a time to soften and replenish, so that we feel ready to bloom in the Spring. Taking time to find pleasure in the quieter, more intimate moments that make life feel beautiful.

The Comfort of Rituals

For us, femininity has always been found in these quieter pleasures.
In the ritual of slipping into your favourite silk kimono, the wrapping of luxurious silk against the skin, and the comfort of a familiar garment that makes an ordinary moment feel a little more special. A pot of tea, a favourite book, the soft afternoon light falling across a room. Small reminders that beauty is all around us, if only we take the time to notice.

The Joy of Lounging
As autumn settles in, there is a certain pleasure in wrapping yourself in the softness of silk and allowing the world to slow around you. A moment to pause, to indulge in the simple rituals that bring comfort and quiet pleasure, and to feel cocooned in something beautiful and truly feminine.
With the softest drape of silk and the intricate beauty of French Leavers lace, lounging becomes a gentle act of self-care — an invitation to savour slower days, lingering evenings and the quiet luxury of taking time for yourself.

The Season of the Self

There is something quite beautiful about the feeling of silk against bare skin — its liquid softness, its gentle touch, the way it falls luxuriously around you. Created with love and patience in our small atelier in Mauritius, our silk kimonos are made for slower mornings, lingering evenings and moments of quiet indulgence. A love letter to the art of lounging, whether chosen as a little luxury for yourself or an heirloom gift to be cherished for years to come.
Whether it is the Florence Long Kimono or another of our silk kimonos, each piece is cut from the softest silk and finished with delicate French Leavers lace in our atelier in Mauritius — made to be lived in, layered and loved. A little luxury for the slower days of autumn, and an heirloom to return to, season after season.

“For my photographs, I often find myself using fabrics and articles of clothing that represent the veil, or facade, we put over ourselves to protect us from others. Those hidden characteristics are what define us, however they are also the most concealed. After coming across the Florence Kimono, I knew it would be the perfect garment to create this same veiled illusion. It’s beautifully designed using luxury silk which allows it to flow gorgeously in the wind, but also provides enough coverage of the body to provide anonymity of the subject, an important component to many of my photographs.”
