SILK & FRENCH LACE GARMENT CARE

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS:
Delicate hand wash only with a maximum water temperature of 30*
Silk is naturally anti-microbial & moisture wicking, which means it doesn't require washing as often as synthetic fibres.
Try spot cleaning then airing this breathable fabric, less washing is also kinder to the planet.
Due to its delicate nature gently hand wash silk & lace, do not ring & dry flat where possible.
We recommend using a delicate silk detergent for all of our pieces.

STEAMING & IRONING:
Never Iron Lace.
Lace & Silk can be lightly steamed if required, please avoid touching the iron on the lace itself.
Hang your pieces to air dry where possible.
It is kinder to lightly steam your garment if you wish to get rid of unwanted creases & wrinkles. Preferably with a hand steamer.
Steaming has the added benefits of eliminating germs and odours & add lustre back into your garment.
For Silk if you use an iron please use delicate, silk or lowest cool setting. Cool iron only on garment reverse or through a light cotton cloth. Iron your silk gently whilst it's still slightly damp after washing & remember to turn the garment inside out first.
This fabric is particularly delicate & a high temperature will result in scorching or burning.

LONG TERM STORAGE:
Many of our pieces are considered heirlooms & treasured by our wearers.
Store silks & laces in breathable dry containers if you intend to keep it stored for long periods of time.
Use a Moth preventative.

SUSTAINABILITY & ECO TIPS:
Silk is considered a more sustainable fibre.
It is a renewable resource, can biodegrade & uses less water, chemicals & energy than many other fibres.
By taking time to create timeless pieces, our designs embrace the slow fashion movement & will be treasured for many years.
Silk & French lace when looked after are durable & stand the test of time. Not only will you be able to keep the garments that you adore for years to come, but durable clothing is also better for the environment – sustainable fabrics are those that last!
Also, you may not need to wash your items as often as you think, silk is a beautiful, breathable fabric that is naturally moisture wicking & antibacterial.
You will be rewarded for your care with a long-lasting, quality garment that gets softer with wear.
These timeless styles will become your heirloom pieces of tomorrow.

We Are Proud To Be A Sustainable Luxury, Ethical Trader & Slow Fashion Movement Brand.
